Hand crafted, just for you Home Products Show Site About Us Contact Testimonials Links   Base Laying Service As a direct result of a great many of our customers asking for us to carry out base installations in readiness for their buildings to go on we are now offering this service to our customers. We can certainly offer this service to all our customers within a 50mile radius of our factory (PE12 9EH). Beyond these limits then each enquiry will be assessed on it's own merit depending on the building, materials required to be carried and the distance to be travelled. We have delivered numerous buildings to our customers, and on many occasions, only to find that on arrival at their premises our customers are a little embarrassed that after placing an urgent order for delivery that they have been let down by the service of local builders - basically they do not turn up when they say they will to lay the base. As a classic example of this we had a call on a Tuesday from a customer asking if we could help her out. She was desperate for a delivery of a 10' x 4' kennel with integral run for her Retriever that was about to pup. Our lead times are usually 2-3 weeks but we can be flexible if required as we manufacture everything we supply ourselves. On this occasion we took the order on Tuesday evening, manufactured the unit the next day and delivered on the Thursday. On arrival there was no base and so we could not fully install the system. The customers builders had promised to come on the Tuesday then Wednesday and upon our arrival on the Thursday they had not arrived and had advised the customer they would come on Friday. As the customers retriever was going to give birth any day we put the kennel up on some grass just in case the inevitable occurred. Meanwhile the customer awaited her builders to arrive. We are increasingly being asked to offer a base laying service to our customers to the point where we have now decided to do so. This means that Hutch 'n' Such are now able to offer the complete service from initial base laying to the design, manufacture, preservative staining and installation of your building. In the main laying slabs onto a sand & cement base is sufficient for the smaller range of kennels. For the larger buildings perhaps a full 4" concrete slab is preferred.
